Visiting South Padre Island Adventure Park
At the end of State Park Road 100, at 21040 North State Park Road, is 40 acres of expansive fun from the Gulf of Mexico to Laguna Madre Bay where you can get lost in the adventure. The South Padre Island Adventure Park is open in the summer from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. seven days a week. You’ll find ample parking on site. Zip Line
When the owners Doyle and Dolores Wells searched the US and the Caribbean Islands researching the best zipline adventures, they absolutely fell in love with the excitement and thrill of soaring high in the air. They wanted that same spirit at the Adventure Park South Padre Island. The thrilling South Padre Island Zip Lines is the result and is designed on large towers for a fast round-trip experience. You can take as many rides as you want in 45 minutes, with no limits. Whether you want to go fast or slow, you’ll have an experience you won’t find anywhere else!
The minimum age is 10 years old and the minimum weight requirement is 60 pounds. Check their website for cost and to see what promo deals are available. This is something truly not to be missed and is the perfect adrenaline rush for the whole family.
Petting Barn
Your group will be delighted to check out the animals at the petting barn. Here, you’ll find talking parrots, birds, and smaller animals that are safe for people to handle and be around. A short stroll outside the barn will take you to corrals filled with bigger barnyard animals you can hand feed and pet. For a real treat, consider a pony ride! It’s a safe and fun way to introduce children to horses and to get a photo of them riding tall in the saddle. Next to the petting barn is a play area where kids can have more fun. The admission to the petting barn is nominal, and pony rides are available at an additional charge as well for children aged two to six years old.
Horseback Riding
For the rest of your crew and family that don’t qualify for pony rides, you can enjoy the experience of a horseback ride for an additional cost. It’s a great way to explore the area and the local South Padre Island beach. If you go on the Morning Special Horseback Ride, you will find the 90-minute adventure is just the right length of time. You get the fresh morning air and then have the rest of the day for even more fun.
The Family Favorite Horseback Ride is perfect to introduce the kids to horses. Everyone gets to ride on the beach in either the morning or afternoon. You can also choose from the Spectacular Sunset Ride or the Moonlight Horseback Ride. But whichever one you choose, you are sure to have a great experience and make a fantastic memory. Riding is for people six and older with a weight limit of 300 pounds.
Experience It All With The Bucket List
Go ahead, do it all and fill that family bucket list! The Bucket List is a package that gives you the best of the park for one price. You get unlimited ziplining for 45 minutes, a one-hour horse ride on the beach with the Family Favorite ride, and unlimited time at the petting barn.
If you need to cancel, there is a two-day prior cancellation policy. If you cancel more than two days in advance, you will lose a small administration fee. However, you can change your date one time for no charge. Don’t worry, rain checks may be issued if the weather is bad.
