You’ll be amazed by the transformation of the lawn into a giant playground for the kids. The kids will have a blast exploring the Children’s Wonderland full of inflatable activities, an obstacle course, and train rides. Free to the public.

You won’t want to miss out on the boat parade. Boats of all sizes decked out in festive lights and overflowing with holiday cheer cruise the Laguna Madre Bay as they light up the evening sky. Free designated viewing areas are marked along the route.

Santa will be at South Padre Island! The children will be thrilled to enjoy breakfast with Santa, share their Christmas wishes with him and take a picture to take home to treasure their magical visit.

You’ll be amazed by the unique Holiday Sand Castles sculpted by the talented sand artists. Ranging from Sand-ta to a Sand Snowman. New this year is an outdoor exhibit with a lighted musical performance.
In case of inclement weather, alternate dates for Lights Over South Padre Island events have been set. The Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Friday, December 7th; Children’s Wonderland will take place Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th; Lighted Boat Parade will take place Saturday, December 8th; and Breakfast with Santa will take place Sunday, December 9th. There are no alternate dates for the Holiday Sandcastle Village.
