"Edgewater 302 was perfect. It was very clean, spacious and has wonderful gulf views. It was stocked with everything we needed and was not cluttered with unnecessary items. The pool and pool area is very nice. We had no issues at all with the room or the condo itself. The only suggestion we have is to outfit the beds with a thin blanket as the comforters would get hot and the sheets were just not enough.
Padre Island rentals is also great to work with. They are very responsive and friendly. We will definitely use them again.

"We have stayed at this same condo twice. We love Edgewater as it has fewer units and is a quieter setting. More family appropriate and better for relaxing. "Very clean and comfortable property. Great view of beach. Liked the keyless entry. The AC combined with the dehumidifier does create some distracting noise while watching TV but doesn't affect sleeping. That was the only negative. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was nice. Good location on island. All necessary utensils available, but need to bring any foodstuffs if you prepare any meals inside. Liked the modernization of both bathrooms and the nice furniture. Would consder renting again for future stays.

"The condo looked just like the pictures. It was very clean and secure. The weather was not great, so we ended up spending more time inside. Our only complaint was that the AC was so loud. "Some of the other condo units we have stayed at in SPI have been somewhat noisy even in the off season. We were very pleased with the serene quality of Edgewater. The condo was as pictured. It was very clean and tidy and had all necessary amenities. Extras were the washer and dryer, the ice maker in the freezer, as well as nice oscillating tower fans in each bedroom as well. The pool and hot tub were both well maintained and clean. The grounds were immaculate. As usual, the staff at PI rentals were courteous and professional. We will definitely be back to Edgewater and continue to use PI rentals for our vacation needs in this area.

"Condo was spacious and very clean. Loved the balcony and grounds were kept well at all times. We loved the decor and kitchen updates. However the sink in bathroom was constantly stopping up and the air conditioning went out the last night which was miserable. Called but they said there was nothing they could do until the next day. "The condo and building were nice however there are a few things that could enhance the stay; as previous reviewers have said; salt and pepper, laundry soap, and beach towels should be made available; the balcony door is in a terrible state the worst in the whole building and it cannot be locked as it's so rusty. The pool area really needs some maintenance although the water temperature was lovely and warm. There were not many beds/chairs available just as well the building was not busy, when asked, the maintenance man said we don't need anymore most folk just go to the beach, that's all very well but at $40 per day for chairs and an umbrella that's not going to happen. It would have been nice if chairs for the beach were available in the condo. We came from the UK so it's not so easy to bring all that stuff with us! The wi-fi did not work when we arrived but once we managed to get in contact with the office (which was not easy) it was fixed quickly. Overall a very nice stay, if a little expensive.

"This Condo complex is clean and well cared for with pretty local landscaping. It has good security and lighting ~ my car felt really safe.
No loud music poolside, people or cigarettes to ruin anything. Yaay. The condo itself was pristine clean and organized. A Well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking, Comfy sofas and a nice dining area.
Lovely beach view from 3rd floor balcony. I worked during the day and dinners out at several good restaurants. I had to move here after staying one nite it a really run down unit and full of dog smell, to which I am very allergic. Thanks you so much for saving the week!

"So I don't super love staying at VRBO's. I prefer to stay at a resort with a pool and bar near it. I was super hesitant when I pushed "book now". Well all that stress and hesitancy changed when we arrived. Beautiful place. Fantastic location. The person who checked us in was super helpful and informative. Everywhere we ate was within a 3 or 4 block radius, lots of options. Super duper clean! I would have liked to have beach towels available but there are so many wins on this place it didn't matter. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

Home Away from Home

"The first thing that will greet you once you enter the condo is the magnificent view of the beach. It draws you immediately into the spacious balcony that can sit at least four to five people comfortably. I can stay there all day and relax while enjoying a bottle of beer, but then again, why would I just stay there when I have the beach a few feet in front of me?
The quick and private access to the beach is a plus. On an Easter weekend, when we visited, this was very convenient. We did not have to worry about parking, which could be difficult on a busy day. All we need to do is haul ourselves unto the sandy beach and enjoy the warm sun and cool breeze.
There is also a pool that is a good size for all the guests to use with a Jacuzzi on the side. So if we get tired of the beach (but who does?), we can always go to the private pool area.
The whole complex is secure. The guard on duty was strict with outsiders but not restricting to guests, which gives us a peace of mind when there is so much activity going on at the beach.
Everything is within driving distance and accessible. There are restaurants that are nearby that you can walk to if you need a little exercise.
Being located on the 3rd floor, the room is quiet and secure. Never have I heard any outside ruckus from the other guests in the building. Aside from a great view of the gulf side, you will also have a spectacular viewpoint of the fireworks display on the marina side which happened on a Saturday night while we were staying there.
The house itself is very homey and comfortable. It’s like being home away from home. The decors are very inviting and relaxing. The beds are comfortable with enough blankets and pillows for everyone.
All the basic needs are available for us and we were even able to make a home-cooked meal on one night (of course, we brought in the main ingredients we needed). There were enough utensils, pots, plates and such that can be utilized to actually live there for a few months.
The unit is very clean and well maintained, including all the toilet and showers.
We enjoyed the stay at unit 302 and will most likely book this room on our next visit.
Like what I said, it feels like a home away from home. I would encourage to sign in the guest book so you will know what I mean to say. You feel like a part of family while you read the stories that are in the book. And you become part of it.
I wonder if there is a rating more than 5 because it deserves it.

"This is a 5 but a few minor details made me rate it a 4. Very nicely kept condo. Great views. Comfortable seating. Well decorated. Construction on pathway was disruptive. Construction in adjacent unit. Please make available salt and pepper, laundry soap, and beach towels. Suggest upgrading bed linens. Functional but super nice bed linens would have put this at a 5. I would stay here again.

Nice Rental

"Rental was nice and very clean. It looks just as pictured and checking in/out were very easy. Be prepared for a lot of noise from the upper unit (4th floor). While there was very little sound from the side neighbors, we could hear EVERYTHING from upstairs. We heard them moving the dining chairs, running, and even what sounded like dropping marbles on the floor. This did not completely ruin the stay. However, I could not give it 5 stars. Also, the door to the balcony is extremely difficult to open. Please fix the lower rack of the dishwasher. There are several wheels missing, making it very difficult to use.

"This was the cleanest condo I have ever rented. The property was spotless. We loved having two bedrooms and bathrooms. Condo was stocked with everything you would ever need. The balcony had a perfect view of the beach. Great week at South Padre. Check out the Turtle Inc. Facebook page. We saw 3 rehabilitated turtles released back into the ocean off of the beach.

"Your condo was absolutely perfect! It's look as if it's been beautifully updated (not sure when, but recently). It's so spacious and tastefully decorated, we really felt at home. The kitchen was a huge bonus - it was stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed, utensils, pots & pans, dishes, counter space, etc. There's a filtered ice maker, which made it nice not having to buy ice, which is a big deal for a beach vacation, at least for me. The condo was very, very clean. It made the stay easier to relax knowing Padre Island Rentals was deep cleaning between guests. The balcony was spacious with two seating areas and the view to the beach was amazing. We spent so much time out here enjoying the space and the view. It's the kind of setting you think you'll only see in movies. The grounds of the Edgewater were kept as beautiful as the unit. We were there in February, so the heated pool was amazing. It's a great location where you can walk just about anywhere you want to go. I highly suggest the Grapevine for breakfast and/or lunch. We would definitely consider staying here again when we return. It is a beautiful condo! Our vacation was everything we could have hoped for.

"Exceeded our expectations by a mile! Quick heck-in is off property, but it's closeby. Secured with coded gate entry to the building. It's a smaller condo complex so not overcrowded. Very covid safe. It was incredibly clean, and much bigger than the pictures. Fully equipped, updated, large, and comfy. The balcony has seats in two areas, so nice for having our coffee in the morning and our mixed drinks in the evenings. Something I loved was that there are tons of hooks in the bathrooms and in the entry hallway. Great heated pool was a nice bonus. Definitely recommend!!! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here and would definitely come back.
