As summer comes to South Padre Island, so do the sizzling summer events! Touting three dates on June 13, July 11, and August 15, The Spazmatics, one of Texas’s favorite cover bands, are coming to rock out with some totally tubular 80’s jams.
During your radical stay at the Island, cap off a day at the beach with a night of live music. The Spazmatics have a history of putting on great, energetic shows here in Texas. With the “best of the worst” of decades passed, they come fully costumed with skinny ties, sweatbands, and suspenders in tow. The band blasts tunes like “Take Me On” from Ah Ha and my personal favorite, “Like a Virgin” by Madonna. Come on out, check out the performance, and see if your favorite earworm from the era is on the setlist. Their “Revenge of the Nerds” look and sound will definitely be a blast from the past!
I saw the Spazmatics at a show in Dallas years ago, and one of the things that made it so much fun was the variety of spectators they drew in.
